Design is a form of cultural memory.

It holds values and can shape behaviors and beliefs.

My research focuses on the impact of design on thought processes and belief systems, and the political economy of belief. Especially how AI and emerging technology shift or erode the propensity and capacity for critical thought.

Teaching Philosophy

Theory & Praxis

Design is like medicine or the law; it requires practice. My teaching philosophy is both Socratic and applied, blending theory and praxis so students can use concepts in lived ways while understanding the history, context, and ethos that underpin the discipline.

I have taught design at Parsons School of Design, where I taught a thesis course in Design Strategy and Management, and at Princeton University's Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering, in the Entrepreneurship Track, where I taught Design Thinking, Creativity, and Innovation. I also served as a Fellow in the Transdisciplinary Design MFA Program at Parsons and am currently an Advisor to the Lab for AI Ethics and Creative Labor.
